The Latin American Journal of Economics (LAJE)--formerly Cuadernos de Economía-- has been published by the Instituto de Economía of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile for fifty years.

The main objective of this journal is to stimulate the production and interchange of theoretical and empirical academic articles and notes, on economic issues, with emphasis on Latin America.

The journal —published in May and November of each year— is indexed to Scopus, Econlit, Bowker, an HAPI. It is also available in Scielo, OCENET and RePEc (EconPapers), and soon on JSTOR.
